Whether you envision a private residence, guesthouse, or investment project, this classic Austin home offers an opportunity to preserve a piece of the city’s past while making it your own. With the existing brick removed for relocation, you can give the exterior a fresh look with siding of your choice.
The listed price includes:
• The house and relocation within Travis County
• Placement on a temporary concrete pad and cinderblock foundation
• Structural reassembly of the two house sections after relocation
Important relocation details:
• Brick exterior: The existing brick will be removed before relocation and will not be replaced. The buyer is responsible for furnishing and installing new siding after relocation.
• Two-section move: The house will be cut between the living room and the bedroom/hallway portion and transported in two separate sections. Structural reassembly is included; cosmetic repairs and finish work at the separation are the buyer’s responsibility.
• Garage and storage room: The attached garage and storage room are on a slab foundation and will be demolished rather than relocated. The washer and dryer hookups and water heater are currently located in this area. The water heater will be disconnected and delivered with the house, but reconnection and a new enclosure are not included. The buyer is responsible for providing a new laundry location and hookups.
• Rear screened porch: The screened porch cannot be relocated intact and is not included in the standard move. Disassembly and delivery of salvaged materials may be available for an additional fee. Reassembly is not available.
• Front porch: The front porch will be demolished. The buyer is responsible for rebuilding it after relocation.
Engineered foundations and relocation to counties outside Travis County are available for an additional fee. Pricing is subject to evaluation of the delivery route and access to the buyer’s property.
This listing is for the house only; no land is included. All dimensions and square footage are approximate.
